Abstract:

Electronic warfare and electronic counteraction are essentially tools of information warfare. Consequently, in order to assess the effectiveness of information support systems in electronic warfare and electronic counteraction during the conduct of such information warfare, it is necessary to develop a new approach based precisely on the quantitative assessment of the information that must be obtained to remove information uncertainty in such a way as to ensure victory in the information war.

Development of an approach aimed at using entropy as a measure of evaluating the effectiveness of information support systems in electronic warfare.

An approach has been developed to evaluate the effectiveness of information support systems in electronic warfare using entropy, which allows analyzing and optimizing their structure, composition and technical characteristics.

To ensure the high efficiency of information support systems in electronic warfare and electronic counteraction, it is necessary to exclude a situation when the number of electronic weapons controls simultaneously attacking an object protected by electronic warfare exceeds the number of working channels of electronic warfare. At the same time, the bandwidth of the working channel of the electronic warfare means protecting the object must exceed the frequency adjustment range of the electronic weapon control means attacking the object, with a rapid frequency adjustment.

To increase the efficiency of information support systems in electronic warfare and electronic countermeasures, it is necessary first of all to increase the number of working channels and the instantaneous analysis band of each working channel of electronic warfare, ideally bringing the instantaneous analysis band to the full range of operating frequencies.

The developed approach can be applied in assessing the effectiveness of existing and newly developed information support systems in electronic warfare.
