Problem statement. The spatial and temporal state of moving objects is currently determined mainly using global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). At the same time, to ensure situational awareness of a group of mobile objects, each object of the group must determine its coordinates and transmit them to all other mobile objects of the group using radio communications to coordinate joint actions. However, the use of GNSS for determining the location of moving objects may be limited due to the inaccessibility of receiving GNSS navigation signals due to the presence of electromagnetic interference and/or the unreliability of navigation information due to distortion of the navigation field. In addition, the open transmission of absolute data on the location of objects can lead to unauthorized use of these data for a destructive effect on moving objects.
Purpose. To develop a way to provide situational awareness to a group of moving objects using local navigation without binding the location of objects to a public coordinate system. This will provide an increase in the stealth and survivability of objects by eliminating the transmission of data on the location of objects over radio links.
Results. A method that provides mutual awareness of each moving object of the group about the spatio-temporal state of all moving objects of the group using local navigation is proposed. When objects are located within the working area of the local navigation system, positioning accuracy of 5-10 m is provided. When leaving the working area, degradation of accuracy characteristics up to 25-60 m is observed, which is associated with an increase in the values of the geometric factor. The method does not require additional exchange of information between the mobile objects of the group, which could be used unauthorized.
Practical significance. The proposed method can be used in practice to ensure situational awareness of a group of subscribers of a local communication system for special purposes.
