Fractal labyrinths as geometry base of new kinds of fractal antennas and fractal antenna arrays

Abstract:
Fractal labyrinths are occurring frequently in nature and technology. The following should be attributed to them: transport and communication networks, systems of resource and information collecting and distributing, river systems, systems of blood supply, lightning discharges, etc. The systems fractal geometry predetermines them peculiarities of dynamical behavior and transport properties. In the paper main information about fractal labyrinths are presented with attraction the fractional calculus mathematical apparatus and also fractal labyrinth «disclosed» as the new object of mathematical physics. Future radio-engineering devices fractal labyrinth based are represented. Methods of automatic synthesis of defined parameters fractal labyrinths are analyzed. Software is proposed for some labor-consuming aspects automation of branching (labyrinth) fractals developing used for simulation of different physical processes. The software key features are presented with examples of output results. The product application area is represented. Symmetric and asymmetric geometries of branching fractal curves (fractal labyrinths, etc.) were considered by authors as flat antennas. The simulation results obtained are given for low- and high-branching fractal antennas by main graphs and patterns. In the paper comparative analysis is presented for proposed branching antennas and «classical» fractal ones. Some conclusions are provided about such approach advisability for antenna geometry synthesis. Also authors estimated next steps are listed for branching fractal geometry development, in particular it is an genetic optimization methods, where branches length would be used as an population.
