Abstract:

With the growth of e-commerce and the development of marketplaces, supply management in distributed logistics networks is often carried out without explicit consideration of the network structure, which leads to inefficient allocation of logistics capacity (constraints on the maximum shipment volume) between item–cluster combinations and prevents system-level analysis of the relationships between demand, costs, and profitability across directions.

Objective – the objective of this study is to apply system analysis methods to the supply management problem of an auto parts seller on the Ozon marketplace and to develop a graph-based model of the logistics network that transforms an unstructured decision-making process for inventory allocation into an ordered optimization system based on an explicit description of the network topology and local economic indicators.

Based on the proposed graph model, an optimization problem is formulated for the allocation of supplies across item–cluster combinations under constrained logistics capacity and a given cost structure (procurement, logistics, warehousing services). A numerical experiment on real order data for March–August 2025 is carried out, demonstrating the effects of reallocating supplies according to profit per unit of volumetric weight.

The proposed approach can be used by marketplace sellers to revise the composition of mixed shipment batches, increase the efficiency of using limited logistics capacity, and develop analytical decision-support tools for inventory management in distributed logistics networks.
