Abstract:

When forming educational programs in the field of information technology at universities, the main documents are professional standards and federal state standards, which contain information on the requirements for the implementation of programs in terms of the competencies formed, the necessary staff of teachers, logistical support, deadlines for implementation, etc. At the same time, the regulatory documents do not contain information about the information technology being formed and used, the sequence of program implementation, specific IT professions and their corresponding knowledge and competencies. To form coherent, relevant and harmonious educational programs, it is proposed to use several analysis tools that can improve the effectiveness of educational program development.

Purpose – to explore the possibility of improving the effectiveness of the formation of educational programs and propose measures to overcome the incoherence of educational blocks, their isolation from the real tasks of practice and rapid obsolescence.

Results. To improve the effectiveness of educational programs in the field of information technology, the use of data analysis tools is proposed, in particular, knowledge maps (mind map), competence diagrams, and development trajectories (roadmap). Their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed, the possibility of their joint application is investigated. A notation for modeling educational programs based on flashcards of educational modules is proposed and a diagram of the interaction of tools for building effective educational programs is presented.

Practical significance. The conducted research can be useful for methodologists, teachers, researchers and other specialists involved in the educational process in the formation of educational programs in the field of information technology, to ensure their completeness, coherence, harmony and compliance with market requirements in the field of information technology.
