Merger of the simple solitons in the inhomogeneous medium of the antiduct type

Abstract:
The problem of a symmetric incidence of the two nonlinear beams relatively of the minimum of the refractive index. It is shown that if the values of the heterogeneity and nonlinearity of the same order, then there is the effect of the blending of two identical solitons directed towards each other. It is assumed that in the vicinity of the maximum of the reflection point of these two beams the horizontal gradient is turned. The fundamental feature is precisely the presence of the horizontal gradient at the point of closest approach of solitons. It is found such parameters that provide the greatest merger of the solitons.
