Spectrum of the Dirac fermion on a semiinfinite graphene plane in magnetic field

Abstract:
Using the boundary conditions derived by authors earlier we analyze edge states for semiinfinite graphene plane in perpendicular magnetic field. Boundary parameter determines the phase of the plane wave reflected from the boundary. Taking this phase into acount semiclassical quantization of the skipping orbits was obtained. It is shown that there are sub-barrier solutions that correspond to the edge states (Tamm states) in the limit of weak magnetic field. The results are in agreement with numerical calculations.
