This article examines the challenges of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into space systems and complexes. It systematizes key areas for AI implementation in this domain, encompassing autonomous control, remote sensing data processing, mission logistics optimization, and enhancing the reliability of hardware-software platforms. Based on an analysis of current trends, a set of priority tasks is formulated, focused on the development and deployment of trustworthy AI technologies in the near term. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring safety, algorithmic interpretability, and decision resilience under the extreme operational loads characteristic of the space industry. The research findings provide a foundation for strategic planning in the development of next-generation intelligent space systems.
