Abstract:

Problem setting. The exponential development of artificial intelligence (AI) has led to the acceleration of economic processes and the creation of new forms of business. It is necessary to determine the main directions of AI application in the economy, as well as to predict the social consequences and risks of its application.

Target. To assess the scale and pace of AI implementation in the economy, to identify the main directions of its use and the most popular services and functions, the gradation of users depending on the scale of AI use, as well as possible negative socio-economic consequences.

Results. The main directions of AI application in the world economy, forecasts of financial indicators that characterize investments in the development and application of AI in the medium term, possible negative socio-economic consequences as a result of changes in the nature and labor markets are considered.

Practical significance. The overall picture of revolutionary changes and forecasts of the use of AI in the economy may be useful for government and commercial structures to form medium- and long-term development strategies and improve the efficiency of business management based on new opportunities that have arisen in connection with the development of AI technologies, as well as to identify and assess risks and possible socio-economic consequences.
