Abstract:

It was studied the effect of intranasal administration of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) in a small dose (5.2 μg / kg) on the behavior of rats in common anxiety tests. It was shown, that at rats, who only once received a small dose of SWCNT, the anxiety behavior in the «open field» test was increased. Even a short intranasal administration of a small dose of SWCNT can change the behavior of animals, increasing their anxiety or leading to overactivation.
