Abstract:
Nickel fibrous structures and electrodes with roughened surface were synthesized via the reduction of nickel chloride with hydrazine under the influence of electromagnetic fields. Electrodes surface covered by nanocones and microfibers. A method to control the surface morphology and structure of nickel electrodes under the influence of electromagnetic fields is developed. Studies show that elec-tromagnetic fields result in increase of roughness of the electrodes surface and in increase of specific surface area. It is shown that current density of the electrodes is stable, so, morphology of the nanostructured electrodes is nondestructive during cycling. The ob-tained material may have potential and wide applications in batteries and other electrochemical systems.
