Absolutely Transparent Nano-Material

Abstract:
We investigate optical properties of ordered nano-composites, consisting of spherical nano-particles. On the basis of integral equations method we derive expressions for fields inside and outside of a system. It was shown that in the case of dielectric particles and when a system is not a photonic crystal in the frequency range we are interested in, it is possible to achieve absolute transparency of an aggregate being under consideration. It can be achieved due to the suppression of scattering light by particles taking place dependently on structural parameters. The model of absolutely transparent on some wavelengths material constituted of closely packed nano-spheres has been proposed. Interaction of light with ordered golden nano-composite has been investigated.
