Modeling of converters of nanosized translations by the method of transfer matrices

Abstract:
The authors consider the method of numerical simulation of tunneling converters for nanoelectromechanical systems using transfer matrices for modeling the tunneling effect. The main parameters of the tunneling converter model are: the distance between the electrodes, the potential difference and the work function of the electron-emitting electrode. The resulting expression is an analog of a widely used formula for the tunneling current density in superlattices. The techniques proposed can be generalized for the case of multielectrode converters, as well as for modeling electron transport in metal-polymer nanocomposites.
