All modern technical systems are complex systems. Quantifying the effectiveness of a complex technical system is an urgent task. The effectiveness of the entire system depends on the effectiveness of each subsystem that makes up the system. The decomposition of a complex technical system and obtaining parametric characteristics of the constituent elements is a non-trivial task.
The paper proposes a method for evaluating the effectiveness of a system based on the analysis of its structure and decomposition into its component elements (subsystems). The expediency of using an interval structure for estimating the measured parameters to reduce the uncertainty of the accumulated data is shown. The overall assessment of the system's effectiveness is assessed as a set of assessments of all subsystems. A decomposition model of complex technical systems is proposed. A model for evaluating the effectiveness of a complex technical system is developed, and estimates of the results of the effectiveness assessment are given.
The creation and implementation of an effective evaluation index system is an important step towards improving the system analysis of complex systems, evaluating their effectiveness and increasing their resilience to various risks. The results of the evaluation analysis can serve as a basis for developing a strategy for system maintenance and modernization. This will help to maintain its stable operation, increase efficiency and expand functionality.
