Abstract:

In this work, the measurement of the residual phase noise of amplifiers and frequency multipliers using frequency doublers and step recovery diodes, were performed utilizing the interferometric method. The results obtained showed the possibility of using the interferometric method in measuring the phase noise of radio frequency paths of radiometric receivers. The measured values of residual phase noise can be used to evaluate the characteristics of the radio frequency paths of receivers.
