The widespread use of parallel computing provides increased interest of developers of specialized computing devices to modular codes. These codes allow you to search and correct errors by using the interval number. However? the implementation of calculation algorithms in modular codes, considering the positional characteristics, leads to an increase in circuit costs, which reduces the speed of devices. The goal is to improve performance by developing an algorithm for calculating the interval number in the code of the residual class system. The analysis of algorithm for calculating positional characteristics in the modular code is carried out, the practical implementation of algorithms for calculating the interval number with single errors of the code of the system of residual classes is considered. A new approach is presented to reduce circuit costs, which are necessary to implement the algorithm for calculating the interval number in the code of the system of residual classes. The results can be used in the development of error detection and correction devices.
