The basis of the systems that have as their goal the restriction and registration of people’s entry and exit in a given territory through certain points of passage are access control systems (ACS). Such systems make it possible to distinguish between the rights of access to a certain territory for various categories of persons, as well as to record the fact of their passage through the points of passage. As a result, such a system will allow to track the presence of students on the territory of the University, and in the future also keep a complete electronic journal of academic achievement.
The basis of the systems that have as their goal the restriction and registration of people’s entry and exit in a given territory through certain points of passage are access control systems (ACS). Such systems make it possible to distinguish between the rights of access to a certain territory for various categories of persons, as well as to record the fact of their passage through the points of passage. Such systems consist of limiting devices, readers, unique identifiers and controllers. One of the main questions of the organization of such systems is the question of choosing the means of identification with which each user of the system is supplied and which make it possible to record the user’s interaction with the system.
Among the most common identification tools today are bar codes, RFID tags, NFC cards, and biometrics methods.
As a result, such a system will allow you to track students in the University, and in the future also keep a complete electronic journal of achievement, which will store data on laboratory work, homework, etc., as well as the use of biometric identification methods.
