The results of the study of the possibility of replacing the Doppler lag waveguide-slit antenna, which forms two beams, with a similar microstrip antenna with a step structure of the antenna surface. Mathematical formulas for calculation of radiation characteristics of both antennas are given. The measurements confirming the correctness of the calculated parameters of the microstrip antenna radiation were carried out. Recommendations on the implementation of the power supply system for the antenna with a step radiating cloth are given. A comparative analysis of the radiation parameters of antennas with step and flat aperture is performed.
