Abstract:

A method and devices for experimental investigations of a surface electromagnetic wave (SEW) of the «SEW - Radio wave» type are proposed. This is a new type of SEW that can be used in the design of radio engineering systems, improve existing radio engineering systems and design new, more efficient than analogous radio engineering systems on a spatial electromagnetic wave. «SEW - Radio wave» is excited, emitted, received by antennas of the SEW, distributed along the transmission line of the SEW. The offered experimental researches allow to define efficiency of excitation of an electromagnetic wave «SEW - Radio wave» and efficiency of its distribution along a transmission line of SEW, efficiency of its reflection and absorption. «SEW - Radio wave» can be used in communication systems, location, security, monitoring, diagnostics and surface cleaning.
