Abstract:

Processes of W-range plane electromagnetic waves scattering by frequency-selective surface in the form of aperture array with cross shaped holes are analyzed using the finite element method. Such arrays provide better reliability of work in conditions of mechanical and climatic affects than analogous structures manufactured by planar technologies. Its electrodynamic characteristics were investigated for different values of incidence angle of microwave radiation and fixed sizes of the array itself. It is shown that such twodimensional periodic structure can be used both for transmission and for rejection of signals at different frequencies.
