Abstract:

The energy efficiency of signals used in Doppler Speed and Drift meters (DISS), with functions (laws) of frequency modulation (FM): asymmetric linear (ALFM) and impulse frequency-shift keying (IFSK) is evaluated. Based on the analysis the law is determined that provides the high energy efficiency of the DISS radiated signal. The detailed analysis for power losses of signals with specified laws of modulation when signal conversion in the receiver is made. The technical methods to eliminate blind slant range distances and to reduce the power loss of received signal due to signal conversion in the receiver are proposed. The generalized conclusions based on the results of part 1 and part 2 are made.
