Surfacing on titanium rods alloys with oxide coating

Abstract:
Effective technological way to increase resource production from titanium alloys, located in a marine environment, as well as parts subject to wear contact is fusing surface parts of the metal layer of high hardness. As wire material surfacing alloys have found wide-spread use enriched oxygen by thermal oxidation. Doping of titanium alloy with oxygen takes place directly in surfacing the part. The subject method instead of the thermal oxidation - microarc oxidation, based on the formation of the oxide coating surfaces surfacing rods subjected to anodization in electrolyte solutions at high potential to cause the flow of microplasma breakdown at the anode. The experiments confirmed the prospects of using MDO. Argon-arc weld metal means a non-consumable electrode welding rod alloy VT6sv treated MAO structure, quality and hardness to fulfill the technical requirements. The increase in the strength of surfacing material with increased oxygen content provides a pronounced plasticity. The use of MAO, in contrast to thermal oxidation, does not increase the hydrogen content of the wire, thereby eliminating the vacuum degassing quenching with water followed by additional purification in the manufacture of mechanical rods surfacing.
