Abstract:
The development and the investigation of antenna devices for monopulse radar stations was and is an actual task, because this radar type is widely used in navigation systems and communication means, for a variety of purposes, both military and civilian.
The method to determine the optimal number of letter-band of monopulse irradiator of the parabolic reflector is shown for a wide range. It is based on the following standard operating procedure: evaluation of limit deviation of the radiation pattern maximum, the calculation of the distance between the irradiators phase centers, the optimal partitioning of its frequency range to the letter-bands. The approbation of this method was successfully complete. In conclusion, the authors have summarized the results of the work. According to the results of approbation, the data is provided on the number of letter-band of monopulse irradiator for a certain frequency range, the operating band width of each letter and the acquired distortion of irradiation pattern.
