Abstract:
This work covers foundation, evolution and current achievements of scientific school «Physics of materials for electronic systems» at Moscow State Technical University (MSTU) n.a. N.E. Bauman (Kaluga branch). Initially research direction «Physics of materials for electronic systems» at MSTU n.a. N.E. Bauman (Kaluga branch) was evolving at the department of «Designing and production of electronic equipment». Vyacheslav Grigorievich Baryshev, Honored Scientist of Russian Federation, professor, doctor of technical sciences (DTS) was the founding director of the scientific school. Joining the MSTU n.a. N.E. Bauman (Kaluga branch) by leading spe-cialists of NIIMET such as laureate of state prizes of USSR and Russian Federation, Honored Scientist of Russian Federation, DTS, professor A.P. Korzhaviy, DTS, professor V.V. Lebedev, DTS, professor V.G. Kosushkin, DTS, professor S.S. Strelchenko, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor V.I Kristya and others boosted research in the direction of physics of materials for electronic systems. Joining MSTU n.a. N.E. Bauman (Kaluga branch) of those high caliber specialists enabled the foundation of disser-tation committee in specialty 01.04.07 - Physics of condensed matter (D. 212.141.17). At present time scientists affiliated with or belonging to the scientific school of «Physics of materials for electronic systems» at MSTU n.a. N.E. Bauman (Kaluga branch) work at different departments at MSTU n.a. N.E. Bauman (Kaluga branch): «Designing and production of electronic equipment», «Materials Science», «Computer Science», «Environmental engineering and chemistry», «Physics», «Technologies of construction materials». In general, the equipment possessed by research group allows to conduct fundamental and applied research in the sphere of materials for electronic systems at high global level. Recently, scientists of the scientific school generated experimental studies and modelled processes of interplay between solid state surface and low temperature plasma, spin waves processes in materials for super high frequency electronics, injection degradation and modification of metal-insulator-semiconductor structures under high fields and irradiation. These fundamental studies resulted in creation of new methods for targeted enhancement of properties of wide family of materials for their practical usage in a number of novel industry sectors. Long term successful collaboration with colleagues from MSTU n.a. N.E. Bauman, Moscow State Technological University, Research and Development Center «Materials science for space exploration», Russian Academy of Sciences, Federal State Unitary Enteprise «Research Institution «Polyus» n.a. M.F. Stelmakh, Research Institution of Nuclear Physics of Moscow State Technical University, IMET n.a. A.A. Baykov, State Research Institution of physical matters, Research Institute «Micropribor», Research Institute «Submicron», Kaluga State University n.a. K.E. Tsiolkovsky effectively facilitated the implementation of research projects of the scientific school. Further evolvement of the scientific school «Physics of materials for electronic systems» of MSTU n.a. N.E. Bauman (Kaluga branch) will allow to fully provide the high quality training for skilled students and engineers as well as enable novel developments of perspective materials and production of electronic systems on their basis in Kaluga region.
