Abstract:
The glideslope axes radiation propagation paths of the ground controlled approach systems taking into account the refraction within the atmospheric boundary layer are considered. The probability distribution densities of the radiation propagation paths vertical deviations from the rated glideslope line for different distances from the runaway are calculated based on the derived analytical expressions for the radiation propagation tracing and a one-year sample of the atmospheric sounding data. The confidence intervals of the propagation paths vertical deviations for the specified distances are evaluated.
