Abstract:
The development of modern electronic technology is naturally connected with the establishment of new and improvement of the properties of common materials used. Technological possibilities of creation of new materials and coatings are far from exhausted, and they are, above all, open up new prospects for improving the physical and technical characteristics of advanced technical systems. As is known, the most important components of electronic equipment are generating lamps, traveling wave tubes (TWTs), continuous and pulsed klystrons, etc. The quality of these devices is mainly determined by the durability and reliability of cathode systems, the majority of which include: warming units, emitters, and grid electrodes.
