Interference in the radar microwave receivers and countermeasures

Abstract:
The article concerns with interference disturbances formation in microwave receivers of the multifunctional radars and possible coun-termeasures. The variety of interference situations effecting on the analog part of the up-to-date high-sensitivity radar receivers were examined. The interference situations conventionally are divided into several types: natural interference disturbances; constant general-circuit-oriented disturbances; internal parasite fluctuations; jamming; jamming and cross-interference of the mutual operated radio-electronic means. As a result the correct selection of the scheme composition of microwave receivers including distribution network of operating, imagine, heterodyne, intermediate frequencies providing the minimum influence of interference situations in specified bands of jointly operated radars. As it was performed by the authors in the article «Electromagnetic compatibility and jamming resistance of multifunctional radar microwave receivers, operating in grouping», The «Radioengineering» journal, Moscow, 2015. Additionally it was proposed the measures to decrease the influence of possible interference disturbances of different types and rec-ommendations on additional requirements for improving the microwave receiver and the radar interference resistance as a whole were performed.
