Abstract:
Alteration of views on warfare caused by adoption of the network-centric warfare concept forces the necessity of specifying much more stringent requirements for on-board radar systems. Expedience of revising the requirements is supported by a turnaround in views on roles and placement of on-board radar within the framework of integrated airborne systems. Thus, the necessity of solving a range of theoretical challenges of optimizing radar systems with regard to their efficiency indices (survivability, responsiveness, informativeness and sensitiveness) is justified.
