Positioning device of compact range reflector irradiators

Abstract:
During antennae measurements, the generation of a uniform-phase field in the working area is one of the most important requirements to compact range measurements. One of the causes of errors in terms the optimal field generation in the working area is imprecise location of the irradiator phase center in relation to the focus of the compact range reflector. The design of the positioning device of the irradiators for the antenna compact range measurement is described in this article. The device is intended for space orientation and fixation of any type of irradiators near the focal plane of the compact range reflector. The device is fastened to the frame of the compact range reflector. The design of the support carriage device of irradiators positioning for their prompt installation and removal and 3D model of positioning device is developed.
