Analysis possibility to increase noise immunity laser location systems using retro-reflection radiation effect on the detection of hidden surveillance cameras

Abstract:
The article suggest that new possibility to increase noise immunity laser location systems base on the regulation laser illumination power in accordance with measured distance to the inspected object and subsequent digital image processing. Through the use of built-in rangefinder determines minimum laser illumination power, in which the value of the location signal exceeds threshold determined by criterion of the Neyman-Pearson. Digital image processing based on the selection by using window filtering allows to remove noise due to the background illumination and diffuse reflected beam from underlying surface. The results of noise immunity comparison for detection systems with using developed algorithm and without him upon retro-reflector detection at complex background and small distance to the object.
