Abstract:
Reflection of magnetostatic surface waves (MSSWs) by an infinitely thin, perfectly conducting microstrip line on a ferrite substrate is analyzed. With the help of the Fourier transform, integral equation for the current density on the strip, induced by incident magnetostatic surface waves, is derived. The integral kernel of the equation is expanded in terms of orthogonal polynomials to obtain a kind of moment equation, which is led to a system of linear equations by applying Galerkin's method to expansion of the unknown current. The current distributions induced by incident magnetostatic surface waves from left and right in structure «air-yttrium iron film-air» are calculated.
