Abstract:
A historical survey of development of conceptual approaches and mathematical methods of simulation of Earth, clouds and atmosphere radiation in visual and infrared spectral bands, and its transformation to background images, which can be obtained by airspace sensors, is presented. Article considers three main stages in development of methods of Earth and clouds simulation of airspace observations, made on the basis of ideas and with direct participation of Vladislav Repin. 1. Conversion from 2D representation of background (in the focal plane of photoreceiver or in the plane parallel to it) to 3D simulation of the Earth and cloud relieves with transformation of these relieves to radiance using radiative transfer equation; it made it possible to increase the adequacy of simulation of multiposition observation systems. 2. Application of multispectral satellites observations for estimation of real clouds relief and further transformation into background radiation at the input of sensor, operating in an arbitrary spectral band, being located in a position non coincident with the position of sensors-sources of data on clouds relieves. 3. Conversion from static consideration of clouds relief to consideration of its dynamics caused by atmospheric winds. At first it was considered as layer-by-layer movement of "frozen" structures, and afterwards - with consideration of their transformations, obtained from solution of hydrodynamics equations.
