Abstract:
In this paper we calculated the response of the GLONASS ionizing radiation detector to cosmic ray protons. The detector is carried on board of Glonass satellites. The calculations were performed via Monte-Carlo simulations. The obtained results may be used to solve different tasks: the detector optimization, setting thresholds, separate signal from background events, reducing the number of background events.
