Digital modelling of input signals of Doppler radar systems of a millimetric wave range from motorized objects

Abstract:
In article the technique of calculation of multipoint models of mobile radar objects developed by authors is described. This model is formed on the basis of static polygonal model. Use of polygonal model for calculations requires significant computing resources. To create a multipoint model a target has to be divided in different elements with various velocities. As an example the multipoint model of tank T72 is illustrated. On the basis of multipoint model input realizations of signal from mobile object for Doppler coherent-pulse radar system have been received. For consideration of the mechanism of signal formation realizations of signal have been resulted and their spectrum separately for one point of a rotating wheel, one rotating wheel and all target have been calculated. It is shown, that at oncoming meeting of a target in a spectrum of a rotating wheel there are two basic components: close to zero frequency and close to double Doppler frequency. Therefore at a spectrum of a signal from a target there will be a component of double Doppler frequency. Intensity of this component will depends on mutual position of target and system. The calculated signal realizations were compared to results of experimental tests. The spectral analysis of these realizations has shown adequacy of the multipoint model of mobile object of a location.
