Abstract:
On the basis of the analysis of experimental data it is shown, that lightning strikes are confidently registered onboard an artificial satellite (on the distance of 1000 km with optical and radio radiation components, and on the distance of 20000 km - with a radio component). Expected accuracy of registration of co-ordinates of a source was about 0.31 km. For confident identification of the process, special methods of detection are used: for an optical component - restoration of entrance radiation, for radio component - spectral signal to noise relations and duration of the registered radiation.
