One of the ways of single-wire wideband access WIMAX on the base of the protocol IEEE 802.16 is considered, which allows working under conditions of a dense urban building and providing high quality of communication and considerable data transfer rate. It is shown that the network traffic of such systems possesses a self-similarity property influencing parameters of transfer quality Q. Wavelet-analysis is applied for investigation of fractal properties of a real network traffic of the WIMAX technology. An algorithm for automatic choice of scaling limits for defining the Hurst parameter is proposed. It is shown that investigated traffic possesses multifractal properties.
