Abstract:
The solution of the diffraction problem on the wedge with impedance boundary conditions was considered in this work. The solution is based on Malyuzhinets technique. In accordance with this theory the solution in far-field can be presented as the geometrical optics and the wedge diffracted field and also the surface waves. All necessary formulae for calculation are presented in this work, which are based on well-known asymptotic expansions for Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions. The main complexity of this problem is in diffraction coefficient calculation. In this work the formulae for its calculation, which are based on Malyuzhinets technique, and also the results of computation are shown.
On the grounds of modern works devoted to the further evolution of diffraction wedge theory, it is shown that near the face of the wedge it is necessary to calculate two members of the asymptotic expansion. The calculation results of the field near the shadow face of the wedge, and also diagrams of scattering field are shown. The formulae for calculation of the surface waves are presented, and the conditions of their existence are considered. The calculation results for different value of normalized surface impedances are presented.
