The work is devoted to calculation of dispersion characteristics, mode fields and transmission wavelength ranges of photonic crystals and photonic crystal fibers with anisotropic and controllable elements. Different sorts of waves were investigated, basing on the eigenwaves equation for two-dimensional periodic media, considering the dielectric permittivity tensor rotation at external field being applied.
