Abstract:
Two-dimensional electrodynamic structures including open dielectric resonator excited by a planar dielectric waveguide have been analyzed by the time-domain methods. Three types of cylindrical dielectric resonators have been considered, namely, circular, elliptical, and truncated circular resonators. Spatial and frequency characteristics of these structures (efficiency of transformation of surface waves into spatial-mode ones, radiation directivity, etc.) have been studied.
