Abstract:

The influence of endogenous and exogenous factors on a person's walking pattern is significantly enhanced in the case of prosthetics of the lower extremities. In the development and use of prostheses, not only the geometric features of the stump and the receiving sleeve are of great importance, but also the physiological comfort of their articulation during daily use by the patient, and possible dislocations of the stump in the sleeve when walking. In this regard, in order to reduce the influence of negative factors that cause fatigue when using prosthetics of the lower extremities by the user, the issues of prosthetic prototyping, monitoring, primary and periodic correction of the fit of the prosthetic sleeve on the stump are of particular relevance. The aim is to develop a system for monitoring and correcting the articulation of the receiving sleeve of the lower limb prosthesis with the stump to ensure the physiological comfort of its use by taking into account the pressure distribution when walking under the foot and in the receiving sleeve. The developed system ensures synchronous recording of pressure under the foot, along the perimeter and depth of the receiving sleeve of the lower limb prosthesis at various phases of the foot roll, the ability to analyze in three-dimensional space the dynamics of the force vector acting on the surface of the stump at the stages of walking to optimize the patient's energy expenditure when walking. The architecture of the system is proposed, which allows an orthopedic surgeon to remotely monitor the process of medical rehabilitation of the user. Practical significance. The developed system can be used for primary and periodic adjustment of lower limb prostheses, monitoring the dynamics of load distribution in the foot and stump during rehabilitation.
