Abstract:

One of the most important tasks of modern medicine is improving the quality of solving problems related to prognosis, early and differential diagnosis of diseases, and assessment of their severity. However, for a number of socially significant diseases, the problem of timely and high-quality assessment of human health and functional status lags behind the capabilities of modern information and intelligent technologies. Objective – to improve the quality of decision-making in assessing human health and functional status by developing methods for synthesizing models of prognosis, diagnosis, and assessment of disease dynamics, in which the synthesis process aggregates traditionally used clinical indicators with indicators characterizing the degree of body protection at various levels of its functioning. In the course of the conducted research, a set of methods and models for the quantitative assessment of the functioning of the body's protective mechanisms at various levels of its functioning was developed. Methods for synthesizing models of prognosis, diagnosis, and assessment of disease dynamics were proposed, taking into account quantitative methods for assessing the degree of protection against diverse risk factors. The practical significance of the work is determined by the fact that the developed methods and tools, implemented in an intelligent decision support system, improve the quality of prognosis and early diagnosis of diseases by 5–15%, depending on the type of tasks being solved and the quantity and quality of collected information, in comparison with the approaches adopted in modern medicine.
