The transition in dentistry from visual methods of determining the color of teeth, which do not guarantee an accurate result, to hardware-based ones requires the creation of high-precision color analyzers. The direction of this research is to identify and analyze the method for determining the color and the structure of the tooth color analyzer, which ensures increased accuracy of color identification in accordance with dental color standards (color guides).
Objective – to identify the method for determining the color and the corresponding structure of the analyzer, which accurately identifies the color of teeth in accordance with dental color guides.
A method for determining the color is presented and the structure of the analyzer is analyzed, which accurately determines the color of teeth in accordance with the VITAPAN and CHROMASCOP dental color guides.
Practical significance – it is advisable to use the presented analyzer in practical dentistry and in the educational process in medical educational institutions of the dental profile.
