Abstract:

Currently, such a method of visual reconstruction of the shape and size of human internal organs as electrical impedance tomography is
being actively developed. However, to obtain reliable reconstruction information, it is necessary to know the true shape and size of the computational domain.

Development of a new hardware approach to measuring the shape and dimensions of the object under study for electrical impedance tomography, based on the use of optical distance sensors located on two shapes of the measuring hoop: round and ellipsoidal.

The experimental studies carried out on the implemented sample of the device of five shapes of the object under study: square, convex-flattened, convex, flattened, ellipsoidal showed that the errors when using a measuring hoop in the form of a circle and an ellipse are 6% and 3%, respectively.

The results obtained can be used as part of an electrical impedance tomograph to improve the accuracy of visual reconstruction of human internal organs.
