Currently, an alternative way to help patients with epilepsy is vagus nerve stimulation. Noninvasive stimulation is performed by applying electrodes to the patient's auricle. Noninvasive stimulation is possible thanks to modern technologies using devices and systems that automate the analysis of the patient's physiological parameters.
Goal. To develop a system for assessing the physiological condition of a patient with epileptic status to support a doctor's decision on vagus nerve stimulation. The principles of synthesis of a system for assessing the onset of an epileptic seizure with vagus nerve stimulation are considered. Based on them, a model of the "death and reproduction" of a random process is proposed, a method for finding access points for noninvasive vagus nerve stimulation, the combination of which can be defined as a solution to the scientific problem of improving the quality of life of patients with epilepsy. A system for supporting a doctor's decision-making in assessing the physiological condition of a patient with epileptic status.
