Abstract:

This paper offers an overview of the history of the development of medicine with an emphasis on hemodynamics. Accents are made on the ancient art of eastern healers, who, thanks to their many years of observation and the transfer of knowledge to disciple, were able, on the basis of empirical experience, to discover meridian connections in the body, accumulate vast knowledge in the field of treating various ailments with the help of herbs and various healing substances. It has not been possible to reveal the physical meaning of the meridians until now, and only now, based on the achievements of hemodynamics, it can be argued that the meridian connections are due to the targeted redistribution of blood flow associated with the presence of heart rate variability, i.e. its frequency modulations, which are responsible for specific local zones of the organism.
