Abstract:

Buccal epithelium cells attract attention of researchers lately as because of morphology of cells as because of its location. The cells are represented with polygonal plates that pave mucous membrane, starting from oral cavity down to rectum, paving all digestive system and being the border between the internal and external environment of the organism. The size of cells is from 48 to 142 mcm in diameter, square from 2000 to 7500 mcm2, the size of nucleus is from 8 to 15 mcm in diameter, square from 28 to 90 mcm2 which makes it easy to research cells with optical microscope with microoculars from 10x to 40x. This type of cells can be studied with various methods: cytologically, immunocytochemically and electrokinetically. This research represents the last method which essence is as follows: being placed in electric field nuclei of the cells start to move accordingly to the direction of electric field vector, movement of nuclei of the cells of buccal epithelium, parameters of movement and the percentage of moving nuclei of total number of cells in studied specimen are the main informative parameters for evaluation of functional state of human organism and resources of human organism’s main systems. Movement of cells’ nuclei can be achieved by usage of microelectrophoresis. This method becomes a source of electrokinetic phenomena on the border between two mediums – mobile and immobile. In this research mobile medium is presented by moving nucleus membrane of cell and immobile is presented by cytoplasm. Parameter which characterizes these phenomena is x-potential. Yet there is no choice and justification for the amplitude of electric field of the signal. From all above mentioned, one of the most important tasks is database collection that includes anthropometrical, physiological and electrokinetic properties of tested volunteers. Apart from that another research was done to detect correlation or its absence between stress and
x-potential of volunteers. Verified evaluation of stress was held using questionnaire HADS (The hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale A.S. Zigmond, R.P. Snaith) and blank test FAM (for quick evaluation of volunteer’s general feelings about their health, activeness and mood). The article represents the level of stress after university test as well and demonstrates correlation between level of stress expressed in gradation of depression, anxiety, general health feelings, activeness and the result of x-potential testing.
