Abstract:

The millimeter range of electromagnetic waves is a unique informative range for the study of water and biological substances.

Revealing the properties of electromagnetic fields of the millimeter range of the surface points of the human body, it is possible to establish an objective assessment of the state of the organism, to identify deviations and pathologies of internal organs, to objectively assess the activity of the physiological systems of the organism. Recently, one of the directions in functional diagnostics is passive radiothermometry, which determines the state of the organism and its internal organs by studying the physical properties of the electromagnetic fields of the human body's surface points. Such techniques, being non-invasive, allow you to quickly conduct research on the patient's condition, as well as to identify the nature of diseases at the early stages of their development. In this work, we solve the problem of increasing the information content of functional diagnostics based on radiothermometry of the surface points of the human body.

The authors of this article have proposed a new non-invasive method for functional diagnostics of the state of the body and its internal organs by using active radiothermometry, based on the generation of a radio response by water and biological media of external electromagnetic radio emission. At the Institute of Radioengineering and Electronics of Russian Academy of Sciences a theory of the effect of electromagnetic radiation in the gigahertz and terahertz ranges on biological and water-containing objects was constructed based on the generation of a radio response from external radiation. The generation of a radio response is a starting point explaining the mechanism of penetration of information about irradiation by millimeter and terahertz electromagnetic waves of water and biological systems. It is shown that the spectrum of the radio response extends from low frequencies, a few megahertz, to at least terahertz.

Based on the theory of radio response generation, a new active method of radio thermometry has been developed, which is significantly superior in informational content to the known passive methods. The increase in the information content of the active method of radio thermometry is based on the fact that the reception of a radio response from the surface points of the human body occurs when an external electromagnetic effect occurs at a frequency that does not coincide with the frequency of the receiver. The results of experimental comparative studies of passive and active methods of radiothermometry at the same reception frequency are presented. It has been shown that the informativeness of the active method for determining the deviations of the human body organism is significantly higher, which makes it possible to use it for earlier diagnosis of diseases.
