Abstract:
The content of the total cholesterol (CH), triglycerides (TG), cholesterol of lipoproteins of the high density (HDL-CH), arginin and the general protein in blood serum were determined, atherogenic index and the ratio of content of an arginin on 1 mg of protein were counted. Lipid parameters were determined by enzymatic method on autoanalyzer "Chem Well" ("Awareness Technology"). Arginine is determined by a modified method Sakaguchi. Atherogenic index was calculated by the formula offered by A.N.Klimov (1984). The interrelation of these parameters in the population-based study (a group of healthy) and in patients with coronary heart disease and dyslipidemia (DLP) and without coronary artery disease and DLP in several cardiac clinics. The study did not exclude patients with comorbidities. The sample of 674 patients. The content of the arginine in the blood serum and its ratio to the protein concentration in the blood serum of patients were significantly different from such of healthy persons. But there were no significant dependence between these parameters and the content of total cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood plasma. Was revealed a direct correlation between the arginine content, its ratio to the protein and HDL-CH level, and a negative correlation between those parameters with the atherogenic index. Were analyzed groups of patients with very low and very high rates of arginine concentration in the serum. Such persons in the group of healthy persons consisted 18% and in the group of patients with coronary heart disease and DLP - 70%. The group of patients with a very low concentration of arginine in the blood serum had burdened heredity in relation to cardiovascular disease or severe course of ischemic heart disease. The results indicate the possibility of using the determination of serum arginine for prognosis of cardiovascular diseases.
