Abstract:
 Application of mechanotherapy equipment for complex treatment and physical rehabilitation of vertebral and articular fitness makes it necessary to substantiate in details (biomechanical, physical and technical, clinical and physiological) and to render the nature of summary therapeutic effect from a treatment and rehabilitation physiotherapeutic procedure. Muscular factor is used in order to determine functional possibilities to apply decompression mechanotherapy systems in the course of vertebral functions correction. The muscles are rehabilitated in accordance with a fundamental physiological law of contraction and relaxation in the event of biochemical exposure. «ORMED» series mechanotherapy devices are considered to be up-to-date, created using innovative medical technologies of re-habilitation and treatment of vertebral and articular diseases due to mechanical dosed traction and rollers paravertebral vibrating massage of the spinal column. The authors review the physical principles of structural construction of mechanotherapy systems and its biochemical models used to substantiate its application in clinical practice. Much attention is paid to investigation and analysis of mechanotherapy devices applied for traction therapy. Besides, the authors review the methods, regimen, types of traction therapy and its implementation in clinical practice. Use of automated multifunctional systems with computer-aided control in clinical practice can be considered as new tendency in the development of high-tech mechanotherapy devices.
