Solving of functional vision neuroanatomy paradox, and its medical applications

Abstract:
In the article the phenomenon of paradoxical neuroanatomical structure of the retina, which consists in the arrangement of photosensitive elements in the lowest layer of the retina, as viewed from the light and efferent output video information for the axons are not photosensitive elements and forth in front of them is discussed. Methods to explain this paradox are proposed. Conclusions are drawn about the nature of the ontogenetic structure of the retina by a single mechanism of the genesis of the brain and eyes during ontogeny. The same general neural epithelial origin of retinal neurons and neurons of the brain at the cellular level are confirmed by cytology researches [2]. Taking into account the ratio of structural and functional properties, we simulated аfunctional and geometric characteristics of optic perception at the cellular level, taking into account the real topology of the internal structure of ocular fundus. The conclusion was made that such optics can perform focus directly on a group of several photosensitive cells or even single cells, which explains the hidden evolutionary commonality with natural faceted optics. In addition, the network of «wires» - axons (it is retina!), lying on top of the sensitive layer and located beneath layers of ganglion and bipolar cells and their synaptic layers may serve as a perforation of the optical aperture correcting pretreatment with stochastic distribution gaps. The morphological physiological correlates of super-multiple duplication or a high degree of redundancy (super-redundancy or hyper-redundancy) were found the first. It is shown that the new proposed by us the concept of neuronal vision is very much linked with the understanding of the general principles of information processing in the nervous system, and in connection with them - with the general principles of possible information substrates of consciousness. This optic is designated as a communication as naturally closely follows the organization of the communication of retina neurons. Consideration of optics as a collective-individual in relation to the light-sensitive elements of the retina can lead to a whole new fundamentally different understanding not only the mechanisms of visual perception, but also the video, as well as the general principles of information processing in the nervous system that give rise to consciousness and mind. Using the proposed concept we have developed and patented the now world-famous bionic punching optics, or so-called «hole-glasses», which does not require individual selection and very well sold in all world from 1999 to the present.
